Situated in the heart of the downtown Denver, the Wells Fargo Center is a notable Colorado landmark featuring remarkable postmodern architectural style designed by Philip Johnson. It is affectionately referred to as the Cash Register Building because the top floors curve together in a way that resembles the shape of a cash register, which might be designed to imply a symbol of money and power.

The building has its distinctively articulated russet granite façade rising 52 stories, shapes the skyline with a striking presence of power that grants the building its landmark status.

The Wells Fargo Center has a street-level glass atrium, which mirrors the same cash register shape roof as the building itself.

The main lobby of the Wells Fargo Center is located on the 3rd floor after going through the interior/exterior wall.

In the glass atrium, 5 LED columns which are 26-meter height have been installed to showcase various media and animations.

The Well Fargo Center is connected to the Mile High Center across the street by a skybridge which has the same curvature as that of the roofline of the Well Fargo Centre.

Located at 1700 Broadway, the Mile High Center is a high rise office tower designed by I.M. Pei in 1954. The Mile High Center also has a street-level glass atrium, which also mirrors the same cash register shape roof as the  Well Fargo Center.

Due to its uniquely shaped roof, the building had an issue of falling icy snow accumulated on the rooftop. The heating element has been since installed to solve the situation.
